As Head of Marketing North West Europe/France (m/f/d), you will be responsible to develop the Marketing strategy for the North West Europe (NWE) region to drive profitable sales growth.

You will be part of the North West Europe Leadership team and collaborate closely with Regional and Global Marketing team.

In addition to cluster responsibilities, you will have direct accountability for the Marketing team in France making sure we successfully implement Marketing plans that support the overall commercial strategy.

The expectation is that leading the France marketing team will take approx. 70% of the time.

For the remaining 30% of time, you will be the Functional Marketing Leader for the NEW regional marketing employees to drive a high performing marketing organization.

The NWE region consists of the following markets: France & Maghreb, Nordics, Benelux and UK/Ireland.

Strong preference for candidate to be located in our French office in Montbonnot (hybrid working mode) and will operationally report to the VP NWE whilst functional, dotted reporting line will be to Head of Marketing & Commercial Operations International (based in Switzerland).

Main tasks and Responsibilities:

As a Head of Marketing for North West Europe, you're at the forefront of our company's transformation.

Your role is to drive our marketing strategy, establish embecta brand presence, and create exceptional customer experiences, by:

Strategic Leadership

• Develop a NWE marketing strategy that aligns with our global vision, making a tangible impact

• Be on top of market dynamics, using analytics to uncover insight which translates into programs that provide business impact and continuous evaluation of ROI and impact

• Provide input to Global and Regional marketing team on NWE-France growth opportunities

• Engage and partner with NWE Country Leaders on select regional growth initiatives

• Lead the yearly AOP commercial planning (and LRP) for France in partnership with French Commercial leaders

Team Leadership and Development

• Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing marketing team across the NWE region

• Drive a culture of creativity, collaboration, and hungry mindset

• Be an active member of the Regional Marketing Leadership team, representing the NWE region

• Be an active member of the embecta Marketing community to maximize best practice sharing and role model leadership behaviors across the organization

Commercial initiatives (focus: France)

• Efficiently manage resources to maximize our marketing ROI and business impact

• Focus on France and drive implementation of local plans with prescribers and pharmacies

• Spearhead brand compliant, demand generation initiatives that support ambitious sales targets

• Strong partner with sales teams to define our Where to Play/How to Win for sales cycles

• Step-change the utilization of our new CRM platforms (Marketing Cloud, Pitcher, Health Cloud)

• Position embecta as a Diabetes solution provider towards internal and external stakeholders

• Engage in thought leadership activities that elevate our company brand

• Provide input to the Global and Regional Marketing team to develop tool kits for centrally-led Campaigns

• Harness the power of analytics to make data-driven decisions

• Localize campaigns that resonates with our audience and establishes us as an Diabetes expert

Market Expansion and Partnerships

• Pioneer strategies to tap into new markets and drive growth

• Engage with partners, unlocking co-marketing opportunities and opportunity for business growth or expansion

• Partner with Regional/Global Marketing and Country leaders to develop successful new product launch plans

Compliance

• Uphold the highest standards of integrity by ensuring our marketing initiatives align with regional and global regulations

Requirements (Qualifications, Experience, Skills, Competencies):

We are seeking a candidate who demonstrates mastery in various essential skills, including:

  • impeccable written and verbal communication,

  • a strong grasp of sales, marketing, and digital concepts,

  • the ability to make well-informed decisions,

  • adept multitasking capabilities,

  • a talent for synthetic and analytical thinking,

  • exceptional interpersonal skills,

  • and effective stress management

You hold a Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field (Master's degree preferred) and possesses a track record of success with min. 15 years of experience in diverse type of marketing roles incl. min 5 years of strategic marketing leadership roles. Preference for experience in the Life Science industry. Additionally, proficiency in utilizing key tools and platforms including Salesforce, Sales Enablement platforms, social networks, and MS Office tools, along with fluency in both English and French, is essential for this role.
