Colonial Veterinary Hospital is an AAHA accredited hybrid practice (specialty 58%, general 42%,) located in Ithaca, New York, in the Finger Lakes region of Tomkins County in Central New York, northwest of NYC. The practice offers board certified specialists in the areas of surgery, internal medicine and radiology. Colonial Veterinary Hospital offers extended hours until 10pm, has an overnight technician for care of pets and an after-hours doctor on-call for established clients.
VCA Colonial Animal Hospital is seeking an experienced Emergency Service Licensed Veterinary Technician to join our amazing team. Candidate must be able to work flexible schedule to include days, evenings, overnights, weekends and holiday shifts.

The skills that you will be utilizing include, a multitude of technical skills to include but not limited to:
• Venipuncture,catheter placement
• radiology, anesthesia monitoring
• physical examinations and patient assessment
• surgical preparation and assisting, patient recovery
laboratory work, pharmacy, client communication
Technical ability to include compassionate handling and restraint, strong patient assessment and monitoring skills, the ability to perform supportive and invasive therapies and emergency procedure
Compassionate care of our hospitalized patients. Candidate must be able to work flexible schedule to include days, evenings, or overnights, weekends and holiday shifts.
