Position: Maintenance Mechanic Shift: 1st shift Pay: $17.00/hr or more if you have experience Hours: 8:00am to 4:30pm Monday to Friday

SUMMARY

While adhering to safety, quality specifications and customer requirements, the Maintenance Mechanic is to maintain, repair and troubleshoot all equipment.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

· Troubleshoot, repair mechanical problems on all equipment.

· Fabricate fixtures, stands, racks, tables, etc.

· Perform Preventative Maintenance (able to correctly follow any scheduled preventative maintenance work order).

· Support outsourced Preventative Maintenance Program.

· General maintenance of press ship to include brake and clutch adjust, leveling of RAMS.

· Repair of equipment as necessary.

· Ensure compliance of MIOSHA regulations.

· Lock out/tag out machinery when necessary.

· Report accidents and damaged equipment immediately to a supervisor.

· Assist with training of Apprentices.

· Support Six Sigma initiatives.

· Has authority to shut down any equipment (lock out/tag out) which may be a safety hazard.

· Maintain a safe and clean work environment by following 5S, safety, and environmental standards.

· Responsible for quality of part produced per the operator instructions.

· Know, understand, utilize and follow IATF 16949 and/or ISO 14001 procedures.

· Attention to details related to customer specific requirements.

· Support continual improvement initiatives and look for continuous improvement ideas.

· Supports and exemplifies corporate values and commitment to quality, optimism, ownership,teamwork, and communication.

· Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

· Mechanical press and resistance welding experience.

· Pneumatic and PLC controller program/troubleshooting skills.

· Computer skills a plus.

· Knowledge of MIOSHA and UL requirements.

· Maintain ongoing education regarding new technology.

· Ability to work flexible hours

· Excellent attendance required

· Ability to work in a team oriented environment

· Work generally performed in an office and manufacturing environment, and requires strict adherence to safety policies and procedures.

EDUCATION

High school diploma or GED equivalent.

CERTIFICATE, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

None required, however, certifications in applicable fields a plus.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, decimals, and convert between metric and inches. Must be able to read a tape measure.

Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent.
