As a Software Engineering Manager of the Platform Enablement Product Line, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing, coaching, and empowering multiple team members, including DevSecOps Engineers and Internal Developer Portal Engineers. You will be at the forefront of automating and optimizing our infrastructure. Your leadership will drive the integration of security, automation, and user-centric development across our product lines, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and enhancing overall productivity.

What you’ll be able to do :

Team Oversight and Leadership:

  • Oversee the activities and performance of DevSecOps Engineers and Internal Developer Portal Product Engineers.

  • Provide strategic guidance and leadership to ensure alignment with company objectives and best practices.

  • Foster a collaborative and innovative team culture that encourages continuous improvement and knowledge sharing.

Coaching and Development:

  • Mentor and coach team members, promoting professional growth and skill development.

  • Conduct regular one-on-one meetings to provide feedback, set goals, and support individual career development plans.

  • Encourage a culture of continuous learning and staying current with industry trends and technologies.

Empowerment and Collaboration:

  • Empower team members to take ownership of their projects and deliver high-quality results.

  • Facilitate cross-functional collaboration between DevSecOps Engineers, Product Managers, and other stakeholders.

  • Promote the adoption of best practices in security, automation, and user experience within the development lifecycle.

Strategic Vision and Execution:

  • Define and execute a cohesive product line strategy that integrates security, automation, and user-centric design.

  • Oversee the implementation of CI/CD pipelines, Kubernetes orchestration, Golden Image coordination and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices.

  • Lead the development and continuous improvement of the internal developer portal, ensuring it meets the needs of the development teams and aligns with company goals.

Performance Metrics and Improvement:

  • Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success and impact of team initiatives.

  • Use data-driven insights to inform decision-making and drive continuous improvement across the product line.

  • Ensure comprehensive documentation and educational materials are available to support onboarding and ongoing engagement of team members.

As a Software Engineer Product Line Anchor, your leadership and expertise will be crucial in driving the success of our product lines, enhancing team productivity, and fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.

The minimum requirements we seek :

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field.

  • 5+ years of experience in a DevSecOps role with a strong focus on security practices.

Our preferred requirements :

  • Proficiency with Kubernetes for container orchestration.

  • Experience with CI/CD tools, specifically Tekton, or similar technologies.

  • Strong understanding of cloud services, preferably Google Cloud Platform (GCP), including hands-on experience with GCP services and management.

  • Expertise in writing and managing Terraform modules for IaC.

  • Knowledge of container security principles and experience with container image scanning tools.

  • Familiarity with scripting and automation using languages such as Python, Bash, or similar.

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CKAD/CKA, Terraform Associate, GCP Professional DevOps Engineer) are considered a plus.
