Robert Half Accounts Payable Clerk in Jacksonville, Florida

Description We are looking for an Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team in the Non-Profit sector based in Jacksonville, Florida. As an Accounts Payable Clerk, you will be responsible for reviewing invoices/disbursements, maintaining accurate records, and providing timely support for multiple programs. This role offers a long term contract employment opportunity.

Responsibilities:

• Review invoices/disbursements to determine the level of approval needed and if the submission can be paid based on the statute provisions.

• Ensure proper documentation accompanies the invoices/disbursement for audit purposes.

• Handle changes in company policies and maintain knowledge of the program.

• Process the OHUR (On Hold under Review) workflow status.

• Review duplicate invoices in the internal processing system, ensuring that the invoice was not previously entered.

• Process pre-authorization requests and handle multiple programs.

• Review manual and system submitted reimbursements for accuracy.

• Maintain a QA evaluation score of at least 90%.

• Participate in end-user testing and training for software implementation.

• Work on special projects as assigned by management. Requirements • Minimum of 2 years of experience in an Accounts Payable role, preferably within the non-profit sector.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data entry.

• Experience with accounts payable software, specifically Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP.

• Demonstrated skills in Account Reconciliation and Accounts Payable (AP).

• Knowledge and experience in check runs and coding invoices.

• Proven ability to handle invoice processing efficiently.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in all areas of work.

• Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion in handling financial information.

• Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment as well as independently.

• Proven ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
