Aerotek Entry Level Welder in Jacksonville, Florida

Job Title: Welder

Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated Welder to join our team. As a Welder, you will be responsible for the construction of safe rooms, welding predominantly with Mig, and occasionally with TIG. Your responsibilities will include building wall panels, welding, installing drywall, painting, and using hand and power tools to measure and cut various materials. You will spend approximately 50% of your time welding, and the other 50% will be spent elsewhere in the shop. Initially, the majority of your time will be dedicated to panel building. Working in teams of 4-6, you will construct these rooms based on drawings, and you will be trained on how to read them. The ability to accurately read a tape measure down to the 16th is essential.

Work Environment

The work environment is a smaller open-air shop where you will work in teams. We pride ourselves on having a very diverse workforce. Please note that the role requires travel, approximately three trips a year for two weeks at a time.
