Trailer Mechanic

Job Description:

• Seeking a qualified candidate who has experience work with their hands and is mechanically inclined.

• Will be working on semi-truck chassis (no engine work) that include working on the brake systems, electrical systems (lighting), and potentially the changing of tires.

• Maintaing and repairing 53' cargo containers (metal containers that are placed on cargo ship and transported across the ocean).

• The containersa are lifted by crane, and placed on a truck chassis to be transported by truck over the road.

• These containers sustain a lot of damage over time and need to holes welded and repaired in the metal, floor boards ripped up and replaced, and the overall container repainted.

• Will need to bring own tools to work everyday.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

• Welding and fleet maintenance experience a plus.

• Maintenance repair, braking systems, wiring, mechanical repair, tractor trailer, weld, hand tool, farm hand, impact tools, equipment maintenance.

• Tire, Trailer, Trucks, Tires, Changing, Mechanic, Repair, Diesel, Preventive maintenance would be ideal.

• Needs to be able to read blueprints.
