Manulife Indonesia Risk Management is responsible as a second liners of Risk Management. This position is responsible for Operational Risk Management. Support initiated re-engineering projects for all Control support systems. Participate in audit control processes to assess risk mitigation and identify where additional controls are needed.

We are looking for someone with:

  1. Minimum of bachelor-degree in Accounting or other related fields.

  2. A recognized risk designation is preferable

  3. Preferably minimum of 5 years in audit (internal and/or external) or compliance or operational risk management.

  4. Preferably minimum of 5 years of experience in insurance industry, risk advisory / consultancy, or banking

  5. Knowledge of Computer Assisted Audit Techniques is preferable

  6. Good knowledge on information security, technology risk mgt., project and change management risk is desirable

  7. Good English (written and oral)

Nice to Haves:

  • Ability to build and manage relationships with the key internal stakeholders

On the job you will:

  1. Assist CRO in updating and monitoring the Risk Management policies/procedures to ensure Indonesia operates within the MFC ORM framework, OJK requirements and MFC risk policies

  2. Assist CRO to prepare the Board Risk Committee materials and as well as OJK reports

  3. Work with the Business Unit especially with the Risk and Control function to ensure operational risk tools is effectively implemented, such as: Risk and Control Self-Assessment, loss incidents, scenario analysis, project risk register, KRI, etc.

  4. Monitor the outstanding Corrective Action Plan (CAPs) for Audit, Risk, Compliance, and IRM and ensure that the outstanding issues are closed by the business units timely

  5. Present in risk committees and other senior management meetings

  6. Lead in any company advisory projects based on the assignment from the CRO and other Stakeholders

  7. Maintain good working knowledge about ORM practice in the industry

  8. Maintain good working relationships with the business units including providing advisories and challenges.

  9. Collaborate with other second line of defense (legal/compliance, IRM) so that all second line of defense have consistent message to deliver to the business units
