JPMorgan Chase Software Engineer in Jersey City, New Jersey

DESCRIPTION:

Duties: Collaborate across Agile teams to design, develop, test, implement, and support technical solutions in development tools and technologies. Gather, analyze, synthesize, and develop end-to-end data solutions and reporting from large, diverse data sets in service of continuous improvement of data frameworks, applications, and systems to identify hidden problems and patterns in data. Develop and enhance existing data processing components. Represent key data insights and collaborate with data engineers, product managers and data scientists to understand data needs. Design and support batch processes using scheduling infrastructure for distributing data to other systems.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum education and experience required: Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or related field of study plus 3 years of experience in the job offered or as a Software Engineer, Data Engineer, or related occupation. The employer will alternatively accept a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or related field of study plus 5 years of experience in the job offered or as a Software Engineer, Data Engineer, or related occupation. Experience may be gained pre- or post-bachelor's degree.

Skills Required: Requires experience in the following: Python; GitHUB; Jenkins; Unix; Hadoop; SQL; Cloud technologies; Apache Spark; Control M; Apache Hive; Agile; NoSQL databases; and JIRA. Experience with skills may be gained pre- or post-bachelor's degree.

Job Location: 575 Washington Boulevard, Jersey City, NJ 07310. Telecommuting permitted up to 40% of the week.

Full-Time. Salary: $169,229 - $180,000 per year.
