Safety and Health Program Manager
PAE is seeking a Safety and Health Program Manager (SHPM) for a Pending contract award in Juba, South Sudan.
The Safety and Health Program Manager will:
Develop and provide for the safety and occupational health for all persons authorized to be at the project site and protection of property on and adjacent to the project site.
Ensure adherence to all contractually stipulated safety protocols, guidance and regulations.
Manage the Safety and Health Team.
Develop a Construction Accident Prevention Plan (CAPP).
Submit a Fall Protection and Prevention Plan with the CAPP, and update every six (6) months, and at other times as fall protection requirements and conditions.
Conduct Activity Hazard Analysis for all project operations.
Develop a Heat Stress Plan.
Submit all Hazardous Work Permit Requests.
Establish a functioning Joint Safety and Health Committee that includes management or supervisory personnel who are responsible for the on-site execution of the work.
Submit Accident Investigation Reports within 24 hours of incidents.
Must have completed the 30 hour OSHA construction safety class.
Must Five (5) years of experience as a safety manager on similar projects.
Must be fully knowledgeable regarding all sections in the latest edition of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Safety & Health Requirements Manual EM385-1-1 that are relevant to OBO construction site operations.
Must be qualified/cognizant to anticipate, identify evaluate, and implement corrective action through activity/worker hazard analysis, worker training, proactive oversight of construction operations to abate or reduce potential safety and health hazards and dangerous environmental exposures.
Ability to successfully pass USAID medical requirements and maintain requirements for duration of deployment.
Must have a valid passport.

OTHER KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Experience providing excellent customer service in supporting contract responsibilities in an OCONUS environment.
Relevant overseas experience, preferably in the East Africa and especially Sudan Region with knowledge of local culture and customs is a plus.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment handling multiple tasks at a given time and rapidly adapting to changing priorities and schedules and under pressure of deadlines while maintaining performance standards.
Strong analytical capabilities with respect to metrics and process improvement.
