Job Description Pay Range from $76,000 to $89,000 plus eligible for 5% target bonus. Job Functions The HACCP Coordinator role works directly with the plant management team to ensure compliance with Foster Farms and FSIS/USDA regulatory requirements. Assist the FSQA Manager in the development and implementation of the food safety system for the facility, including the HACCP, SSOP, and GMP programs. Responsible for developing and maintaining the regulatory documentation review process, with direct oversight for the hourly FSQA documentation lead staff. Directly responsible for investigating and responding to all regulatory non-compliances. Drive program improvement and compliance through trending, root cause analysis, and implementation of ongoing preventative measures. Essential Functions: Assist the FSQA Manager in developing and implementing all food safety programs including HACCP, SSOP, and GMP's Interface with USDA/FSIS in-plant inspection personnel Investigate and respond to all USDA/FSIS non-compliances Develop regulatory KPI's and trend data to recommend action and improvement Develop, implement, and maintain SPC programs Lead pathogen control investigations to determine root cause and effective corrective actions Authority to hold and release non-conforming product Work with cross-functional management team to identify and drive process improvement Develop and administer food safety training for quality control, production, sanitation, and maintenance staff Review upcoming regulatory requirements and assess program compliance against standards. Recommend and implement relevant program modifications. Supervise, train, and develop hourly FSQA documentation review staff Qualifications BS Degree preferred (preferably Food Science, Meat/Animal Science, or related science field) Minimum of 3-5 years Food Processing and Quality Management Experience. Must be detailed oriented. Have strong mathematical and analytical aptitude. Must have the ability to make sound judgment and good decisions regarding quality and wholesomeness of product. Strong Leadership. Managerial Skills and the ability to coach and develop employees Able to prioritize/adjust quickly to changing work environment with minimal supervision to meet changing plant needs. Previous experience with HACCP, SSOP programs, and/or FSIS food safety regulations is preferred.
