PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION
Provide deep technical expertise to support delivery and maintenance of IT solutions. Provide IT teams and business personnel with technology solutions by weighing advantages of technology standards, market availability of products, and risks and benefits of technology to meet business/IT needs. Significant customer engagement, work planning, project management services provided to IT customers. Expected to work under minimal supervision.
Note: This is a hybrid position (in-office with remote flexibility). Employees are required to be in office at least three days per week (Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday).
PRIMARY DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES
Undertakes complex database projects requiring specialized technical knowledge. Makes well thought-out decisions on complex or ambiguous database issues.
Provide technical database expertise and/or solution delivery support for maintaining performance and reliability of database solutions.
Maintain and enhance engagement with business and IT partners to determine requirements in support of service levels and project commitments..
Build and maintains knowledge of new technologies or technology opportunities and assists in development of analysis for business and/or IT clients.
Participate in relevant IT Architecture Domain Groups to appropriately review and plan the introduction of new database technologies. Ensure appropriate implementation of technology both within the production and the development environments. Establishes and communicates common technical goals/direction for team.
Provide performance evaluations, career development feedback, and recognition. Acts as a source of direction, training and guidance for less experienced staff.

Maintain deep knowledge of database technology and its application across Exelon
Promote knowledge via seminars, presentations and publications within IT and Exelon
Participate in technological innovation to drive new business opportunities and solve complex business problems
As assigned, manage working relationship with outsourcing partners
Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline and typically 4-7 years hands-on experience in Oracle database technologies or in lieu of degree, 6-9 years combination of education and relevant work experience.
Broad technical expertise with deep technical knowledge in Oracle database technologies.
Excellent communications skills -Able to effectively communicate highly technical information in nontechnical terminology (written and verbal)
Understanding of change management principles associated with new technology implementations.
Demonstrated leadership ability.
Understands and applies project management principles when leading and directing work.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Broad technical expertise with deep technical knowledge in Oracle RDBMS 19c, 12c and 11.2.
Expert level knowledge: General RDBMS, RAC, ASM, Grid Infrastructure, RMAN, working in a Linux shell, Database tuning, SQL tuning, Database Statistics, Database upgrades, Data Guard and working with Oracle Databases on RedHat/Oracle Linux
Solid working level knowledge: Exadata, Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM), Oracle database compliance framework, vi editor, Transparent Data Encryption (TDE), SSL encryption in transit
Experience with Oracle database in Oracle Cloud or Azure
GoldenGate experience
Kornshell scripting
Multi-tenancy database architecture (CDB & PDB)
Centrally Managed Users
Recent Oracle Certified Professional certification

Annual salary will vary based on a candidate's skills, qualifications, experience, and other factors: $119,200-$178,800
