This is a key role in the EMEAI finance team in support of the Senior Finance Director, (* and the Region President & *Senior HR Director) The role serves to support all of the consolidated reporting for the leadership team for the EMEAI Region. The role supports key initiatives related to margin enhancement and RONAE % improvement in the EMEAI Region (The ROS Team) and serves as a finance business partner. Performs advanced financial reporting/analysis and forecasting in support of the EMEAI Senior Finance Director and multiple ad hoc requests to drive business decisions and meet changing reporting requirements.
You will use your skills and abilities to provide analysis that enables business related decisions to be made. You will also play a vital role in identifying, recommending and implementing improvements to maintaining financial accuracy. The role requires keen analytical and interpretation skills to provide meaningful executive summaries. Information management and confidentiality is a key component of this role since you will be involved in and be aware of multiple confidential strategic initiatives within the region. Key finance business partner who provides meaningful analysis and explanations to varied management requests.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Manage the high level summary financial reporting and analysis for the EMEAI Region – meet monthly deadlines
Support the Senior Finance Director EMEAI with financial analysis, commentary and guidance on monthly, quarterly results : provide executive summaries to the Region President
Finance business partner with various teams in EMEAI to maintain financial results accuracy, provide meaningful analysis of results and drive improvements
Manage the annual operating plan process (upload and review) and monthly report the division’s consolidated forecasts to Snr Director & Region President
Maintain existing and develop new monthly/quarterly data analysis tools using advanced data modelling techniques. Examples include : allocation review process.
Maintain existing and develop new reporting tools to analyze pricing/raw material gap and provide support to develop actions plans to improve gross profit across EMEAI
Responsible for Bonus Programs calculations and work directly with HQ Compensation Department
Interact with Performance Coatings Group finance in Cleveland, OH on financial results, anomalies and budgets and corporate finance as required
Validate Procurement savings and support / provide guidance to Procurement Org on savings calculation / methodology
Other ad hoc analysis as required
Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel, Powerpoint and financial modelling techniques
Ability to independently drive projects
Keen attention to detail and accuracy in the reporting
Creativity and ability to appraise new business opportunities and ways of working
Financial/ commercial acumen to see the whole picture but not lose sight of the detail and make sound financial decisions
Researching and resolving financial discrepancies
Analyzing and preparing financial reporting tools
Communicating within a team and good questioning skills with the authority and credibility to gain respect
Ensuring compliance with department policies and procedures and applicable laws, rules, and regulations
Internal financial systems knowledge (EPM, Oracle 11i/R12, Analytics, Microstrategy, GLCR)
PC skills; Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook); and other applications as required
Five to seven years of relevant finance/accounting experience
Experience being finance business partner : all round experience
Experience completing an annual budget
EPM, Analytics, Microstrategy sales/margin reporting experience
Cost accounting and/or inventory accounting experience
Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting or equivalent experience
MBA or relevant Master’s degree
CIMA, CPA, CMA certification
