Description

The Manager of Enterprise Data and Applications is a key member of our Information Technology team, and is responsible for data management and lending technical expertise to agency staff, specifically geared towards supplying data products, systems, and programs, that serve the mission of The Arc of Mid-Hudson. This position is on-site, based in our Administrative offices in Kingston.

Key responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Serve as the primary person who manages requests to build solutions that improve data accessibility and/or integrity.

  • Oversee and manage a team of data analysts.

  • Assist in creating policies and protocols for data management in the agency.

  • Improve data governance, backup and security, specifically around data systems.

  • Help identify and select relevant products and solutions that serve the agency.

  • Work with staff throughout the agency to understand their data needs.

  • Develop and maintain scripts, processes, visualizations, and applications that improve data accessibility, data integrity, and/or automate workflows.

  • Provide guidance and support to end users for the various data systems/products to maximize the use of those products.

  • Ensures compliance with all agency policies & procedures and county, state and federal regulations (including HIPPA & HITECH).

    SCHEDULE: 40/Monday through Friday - days/flexible

    STARTING SALARY: $ 80,000 to $ 95,000 per year

Minimum Requirements

  • Office located in Kingston, NY. Remote work is possible, with occasional travel to Kingston or surrounding areas when needed for meetings or other business needs.

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer/data related discipline or at least 6 years of relevant work experience and 3 years supervising.

  • Self-directing team player with an interest in the field of Business Intelligence.

  • Effective communication skills for interactions with employees, passionate about users’ needs and helping them address their challenges.

    ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Quick learner and effective teaching skills.

  • Detail-oriented, including solid organizational skills.

  • Willingness to own a problem, figure out solutions in independent manner whilst collaborating intensively with the rest of the IT team on any IT related topic that may need attention.

  • Experience with expression languages (e.g. Excel formulas, SQL queries, R, Python, PowerShell, and Regular expressions) and/or other scripting languages.

  • Understand the automation of tasks, i.e. export, import, and reporting tasks in a Windows environment.

  • Understand data models, data warehousing, and the ETL process.

  • Comfortable with a Windows computer environment, running MS Office Productivity Software.

  • Understand and implement security best practices to ensure the security and integrity of agencies data.

  • Experience with Business Intelligence tools, particularly Microsoft Power BI.

  • Knowledge of healthcare data, specifically centered on those with developmental disabilities.

  • Familiarity with Financial, HR/Payroll and EHR software systems.

  • Experience configuring and administering SharePoint.

  • Experience with various data types, including financial, HR, health-care.

  • Willing to travel to other agency sites.

  • A passion for working in a field that serves those with developmental disabilities.
