Opportunity

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a program manager for new store openings. In this crucial role you'll be responsible for overseeing the end-to-end process for our fleet expansion. Your primary responsibilities will include coordinating various departments, managing timelines, budgets, and resources to ensure seamless collaboration between internal teams, external teams, and vendors. You will be the driving force behind the project planning, risk management, ensuring that new stores open on time and within budget. The ideal candidate will have proven experience in project management, particularly in the retail sector, demonstrating proficiency being coordinating multifaceted projects and delivering results. Excellent communication, problem solving skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment are essential for this dynamic position. Travel is a crucial part of this position throughout the United States and Canada.

Specific Responsibilities

  • Manage roadmap of meetings, communication, timelines, and budget for multiple projects

  • Coordinate with A&ID and Construction Management to analyze budgets for new locations.

  • Establish project delivery process template, including expected task durations, and milestone checklists with alignment from internal and external partners.

  • Review changes in standard operating procedures, best practices, and technology to improve efficiency and communication and implement accordingly.

  • Coordinate with real estate regarding lease provisions impacting design and project execution.

  • Develop project schedules and budgets in collaboration with construction project managers and general contractors, and complete stores on time and budget.

  • Review architectural documents and drawings with Business Leaders, Design Manager and Construction Project Manager

  • Ensure requirements for Store Operations, Sales, Merchandising, Marketing, Finance and other cross functional teams are met

  • Make periodic site visits before and/or during construction to ensure standards and design are met and resolve on-site issues with input from appropriate teams.

  • Develop workload plan for annual buildout goal and align with internal partners and external vendors.

  • Manage hindsight of new store openings to identify future improvements

Skills/Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree required.

  • 5+ years of experience supporting fleet expansion, basic understanding of cross functional responsibilities within a retail environment required.

  • 5+ years of project management skills required.

  • Experience of working with Microsoft Suites applications.

  • Self-starter that has strong communication skills both written and verbal, with the ability to convey and outline key expectations and actions needed

  • Travel to Kohler locations as needed, up to 40% annually.

The salary range for this position is $113,000 - $143,950. The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate’s experience, their education, and the work location. Available benefits include medical, dental, vision & 401k.
