Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities:

Responsible for onsite technical support installation and preventive / corrective maintenance in customers' medical equipment. Drives customer satisfaction through service excellence.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Technical support - installation and preventive / corrective maintenance in customers' medical equipment, maintaining all models of specific equipment of one or more modalities in the assigned area;

  • Evaluate customer medical equipment issues and implement appropriate repairs;

  • Verify and approve the operational quality of the equipment and / or system;

  • Document all repair actions and submit reports/summaries according to schedule;

  • Follow appropriate GE policies, procedures, hospital protocol, and completes necessary documentation;

  • Maintain communications with customers as directed, to ensure resolution and proper follow-up, leading to strong customer relations and ongoing customer satisfaction;

  • Work as a member of local team to provide efficient service delivery to all accounts within the assigned area;

  • Develop strong customer relationships and serve as an interface between the customer and all GE Healthcare organizations, creating ""a One GEHC"" for the customer;

  • Comply with the integrity and compliance guidelines as well as promote a safe working environment and ensure compliance with applicable EHS policies and procedures.

Quality Specific Goals:

  • Aware of and comply with the GEHC Quality Manual, Quality Management System, Quality Management Policy, Quality Goals, and applicable laws and regulations as they apply to this job type/position.

  • Complete all planned Quality and Compliance training within the defined deadlines.

  • Identify and report any and all customer quality or compliance concerns immediately to the Quality Organization.

  • Ensure all work orders, vendor service reports, time and expense reports, PM activities, purchase orders, and other duties are documented in an accurate and timely manner.

  • Ensure all test equipment is tracked and 100% calibrated on time.

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Technical degree in Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics or correlated area by an accredited Educational Institution;

  • Experience with maintenance and installation of medical equipment;

  • Experience in customer relationship management and customer service;

  • Analytical and communication skills with the ability to communicate technical issues to the customer in an easy to understand manner;

  • Knowledge of the office package (Excel, Word, Power Point, Internet);

  • Valid National Driver's License;

  • Availability to travel 30% of the time;

  • Planning and effective organization of work;

  • High standards and quality of work.
