Job Description

As an onsite member of one of the key Thermo Fisher Scientific IT groups, located at one of our main CoE campuses, you will be at the forefront of the Corporate Infrastructure and Security (CIS) strategy and excellence transformation.

How will you make an impact?

Partner with key members of the CIS team to streamline business process and automate non-value add activities, targeting for value from systems in use. This role assists in requirement gathering, process mapping, documentation, and project coordination across a variety of projects and teams. The incumbent will work with various levels of management and staff to explore and help specify system integrations, system requirements, gap analysis and workflow definitions.

The successful candidate will possess strong critical thinking capabilities and will demonstrate confirmed follow through and applied partnership. Collaborating with colleagues across several business units will allow this individual to be most effective.

What will you do?

  • Provide standard methodologies and assist colleagues in solving problems and improving processes

  • Align CIS process with divisional requirements, with an emphasis on common process across the teams

  • Support the development of requirements for new requests

  • Collaborate with business partners on prioritization of incoming work request

  • Support key initiatives in CIS

  • Become a trusted resource that improves life for colleagues in CIS every day

  • Author effective business requirements documents.

  • Analyze data sources and map data elements to key business requirements.

  • Facilitate end-user workshops for requirements assembling and brainstorming.

  • Consult with business users to identify areas of business process improvement.

  • Support the CIS team via process improvement activities.

  • Complete assignments with minimal direction and communicate progress with a diverse group of team members.

  • Deliver collaborator happiness through clear and timely status updates and follow up.

  • Ensure compliance with company’s Global IT Policies & Procedures, specifically including Generative AI and Automation

How will you get here?

Education

Bachelor’s degree in a technical field or equivalent work experience.

Experience

  • 0-2 years driving process improvement in a large enterprise, preferably with IT, automation, and biotechnology experience.

  • Proven experience with technical and process projects

  • Experience with IT business systems

  • Professional certifications in area of expertise like Six Sigma Green Belt, PMP, Scrum Master Certification.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

  • Experience with Microsoft tools such as Excel, Word, Power Point. Process tools such as Jira and Miro a plus.

  • Demonstrable ability to quickly learn systems and tools

  • Good interpersonal relationship skills that promote teamwork and transparency across the organization.

  • Project execution or management experience a plus

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities and meet required dates

Travel : The role will require minimal travel, estimated at 5-10%.
