Project Overview:

Driftwood LNG LLC is located approximately 11 miles southwest of Lake Charles, Louisiana. The project includes a mid-scale, mixed-refrigerant Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) production and export facility on the west side of the Calcasieu River. There are five identical process plants. Each process plant consists of one gas pre-treatment unit, one condensate stabilization unit, and four Chart heavy hydrocarbon (HHC) removal and liquefaction groups. The facility will include associated utilities, refrigerant storage, three 235,000m3 full-containment LNG storage tanks, and three marine berths.

Job Summary:

Responsible for the development and maintenance of integrated EPC schedules on large LNG project with specific emphasis on the LNG Tank construction schedules. Candidate will be focused on development of mobilization, construction, and start-up schedules with associated progress measurement tools related to the LNG Tanks. Will interface with Construction, Start-Up, SC Administrators, Engineering, Procurement personnel, and other project planners during the course of the project. Applicant will provide technical and operational direction to assigned planning personnel. Prepares detailed staffing plans for planning/scheduling activities for the LNG Tanks area. #LI-CS1

Major Responsibilities:

Level 1

  • Establishes and maintains the schedule for a specific to LNG Tanks

  • Performs schedule development duties to include establishing the work breakdown structure (WBS), determining the work activity duration, establishing the proper workflow logic ties, and developing the required job expenditure

  • Performs schedule monitoring, including identifying critical activities and updating functions for specific applications, disciplines, or specialties

  • Develops LNG Tanks critical path schedule reports and schedule performance metrics

  • Determines critical-path activities for assigned discipline or specialty work activities supporting interdisciplinary requirements

  • Identifies and reports activities that have a critical or potential impact on the schedule

  • Monitors and validates subcontractor schedules

  • Evaluates subcontractor schedules for required workarounds or potential schedule improvements

Level 2

  • Applies established unit job hour and pricing data for LNG Tanks area or other specialty including estimating parameters, factors, indices, productivity, and craft distribution reference data

  • Performs integration of individual schedules into the total project plan.

  • Prepares performing organization's work logic in support of overall project schedule

  • Performs schedule resource loading and leveling

  • Maintains open communications with other organizations to support schedule maintenance and reporting

  • Provides generally non-routine cost engineering/estimating guidance to the Tank Business Line

  • Identifies schedule restraints

  • Develops schedule recovery plans

Education and Experience Requirements:

Level 1

  • Requires bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 8 -10 years of relevant experience or 12-14 years of relevant work experience

Level 2

  • Requires bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 10-13 years of relevant experience or 14-17 years of relevant work experience

Required Knowledge and Skills:

  • Knowledge of application of engineering and construction materials related to Full Containment LNG Tanks.

  • Strong project controls experience in planning and scheduling, related to LNG Tanks.

  • Demonstrated ability to work independently on complex project controls issues.

  • Advanced interpersonal, teamwork, creative solution, and problem solving skills.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Demonstrated capability to schedule complex engineering and construction projects. LNG Tanks experience preferred.

  • Advanced organizational skills and attention to detail and accuracy of products.

  • Recent advanced level working knowledge of P6, Excel, and Access.
