Location:  Lake County, IL USA

Compensation:  $67.00 per hour, Paid Time off, Company 401k contributions, Health, dental, and vision insurance.  Total Annual Compensation including benefits is $154,500.00

    Senior Business Analyst Job Description

    Senior Business Analyst (Sr. BA) is responsible for conducting detailed analysis of business processes and requirements, identifying areas for improvement, and recommending and implementing solutions. They will work closely with R&D stakeholders to understand their needs and translate them into actionable deliverables.

    Senior Business Analyst Requirements

  • 8+ years of continuous experience in business analysis, with a track record of delivering successful projects and driving process improvements.

  •  A bachelor's or master's degree in business administration, computer science, engineering, or a related field. MBA or other advanced degree is a plus.

  • Experience with Managed File Transfer Systems such as MOVEit and Axway.

  • Strong knowledge of business analysis methodologies, tools, and techniques, as well as experience with agile methodologies, process mapping, data analysis, and functional design.

    Senior Business Analyst Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Creating and maintaining multiple artifacts for R&D and IAI

  • Gathering and documenting business requirements: Collaborate with R&D stakeholders to understand their needs, elicit requirements, and document them in a clear and concise manner.

  • Conducting analysis: Analyze current business processes, systems, and workflows to identify areas for improvement and develop recommendations for change.

  • Creating functional specifications : Translate business requirements into detailed functional specifications that can be used by the development team to build or enhance systems and applications.

  • Collaborating with development teams: Work closely with developers, architects, and designers to ensure the successful implementation of projects, providing guidance and clarification as needed.

  • Conducting feasibility studies and cost-benefit analysis: Evaluate the potential impact of proposed changes or new initiatives, considering factors such as cost, benefits, risks, and resource requirements.

  • Leading or participating in project activities: Lead or support various project activities, such as system testing, user acceptance testing, and training, ensuring that solutions meet business requirements and are delivered on time and within budget.

  • Providing ongoing support and troubleshooting: Assist end-users with questions, issues, and troubleshooting related to implemented systems or processes, ensuring smooth operations and user satisfaction.

  • Stakeholder management and communication: Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, facilitating effective communication, managing expectations, and ensuring alignment between business objectives and technology solutions.

    Senior Business Analyst Soft Skills Qualifications

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills: ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization, including business users, IT teams, and senior management.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills: the ability to analyze complex data, identify patterns and trends, and develop insights and recommendations.

  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities : work under pressure, and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

  • Strong attention to detail: ability to ensure accuracy and completeness of documentation and deliverables.

  • Excellent business and communication skills: strong communication skills are a must to develop and define key technical questions.

  • Should be able to work cohesively with stakeholders: understand business and technical requirements and implement reporting solutions.

  • Strong analytical skills: should possess excellent problem-solving abilities and be able to analyze complex business processes and systems effectively. They should be able to gather and interpret large amounts of data to identify trends, patterns, and insights.
