Firefly Autism Registered Behavior Tecnician (RBT) - Home Base in Lakewood, Colorado

Home Based Behavioral Technicians (HB RBT) work in homes with families to improve a child\'s life through skill acquisition and increasing appropriate behaviors. Technicians support the child, family, and team members delivering interventions designed specifically for each unique individual. Reports to the Director of Clinical Services and the Assistant Director of Home-Based Services Essential Skills and Qualifications: Registered Behavior Technician certificate (preferred) High school diploma and/or college degree, 2 plus years experience working with behavioral clients, preferably children. Must be 21 years of age or older. Adequate oral communication skills Ability to engage in interactions with co-workers, supervisors, and clients in professional manner Ability to take data accurately, while implementing behavior and treatment plans simultaneously Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously. Ability to exercise independent judgment and support program philosophy. Ability to take direction and/or constructive feedback from supervisors. Ability to work cooperatively within a team Ability to relate professionally to parents and students Dedication to and investment in student progress Flexibility in scheduling and client assignment Essential competencies: The RBT is responsible for assisting in client supervision and implementation of instructional and treatment programming. Build rapport with each student, creating and maintaining motivation Assisting in making materials for instructional and treatment programs Maintaining confidentiality of clients and their families Participates in initial and follow-up training in applied behavior analysis methodology and physical management Keeps CPR and First Aid certification current Completes necessary training to demonstrate the knowledge of behavioral principles and instructional strategies. This includes implementation of complex curriculum and behavior plans, data collection and analysis Assists supervisor in additional tasks, such as assessments, probing new skills, completing ABC behavior data, etc. Daily: Within billable sessions with clients: Record and graph data for behavior reduction and skill acquisition programming Implement skill acquisition and behavior reduction programming with students Effectively implementing crisis and physical intervention procedures Independently problem solve when new challenging behavior/issues come up during session Implement parent training, as requested by the supervisor. Convert appointments in central reach with appropriate data collection and session notes. Weekly: Attend and participate in weekly all staff meetings Communicate with supervisor on any concerns with treatment goals, challenging behavior, and/or issues with families* Issues to arise may include: scheduling, treatment concerns, new challenging behavior, etc. Review schedule and reach out to supervisor/scheduler if cancellations occurred in a given week. Bi-Weekly: Attend and participate in clinical meetings for home-based staff Monthly: Maintain a billable requirement of 120 direct hours per month. Meet with designated BCBA mentor for 30 minutes. Education: RBT\'s may be eligible for \$500 CEU funds in their first year of employment (*Please note CE Funds are to be paid back if the RBT leaves the company within the same fiscal year of July-July) Employees who are completing their job duties and have not received written/ verbal warnings are considered eligible, however funds are provided at the discretion of the Home-Based Director/Assistant Director. Physical Requirements of the Job:* Able to sit and stand frequently and shift positions quickly Able to do the following for extended periods of time: Sit/kneel on floor Sit in a chair Stand Walk Able to physically manage teenagers/young adults, including providing physical guidance, physical prompts, bending Able to move quickly and keep up with running teenagers/ oung adults Pass crisis management training and safely apply physical management procedures on children when necessary Monday - Friday: 8:00am - 7:00pm (schedule built using home location) Job Type: Full-time Salary: \$21.00 - \$28.00 per hour
