Robert Half is seeking a permanent Senior Accounts Payable Specialist to become an essential part of a company's rapidly growing team. As the Senior Accounts Payable Specialist, your duties will include matching, batching, and coding invoices, resolving A/P issues, processing expense reports, updating and reconciling sub-ledger to G/L, and processing checks. This dynamic department will provide you with opportunities for career growth and advancement. The opening for a permanent Senior Accounts Payable Specialist is in the Lakewood, Colorado area.

• Assist in training AP Clerks

• Process payment voids, manual checks and ACH activity as needed

• Review AP subledger regularly for aged and unusual items

• Verify vendor accounts and request W-9 from new vendors, maintain updated information for 1099’s

• Ensures that all AP transactions & corrections are made properly and recording timely

• Works with other Finance teams as required to ensure accurate and timely accounting close

• Responds to escalated inquiries from suppliers and internal departments on payment status / system issues

• Supports internal/external audits

• Reviews the monthly GRIR account to ensure clearing of the account is done on a timely basis

• Works with Accounting Manager on process improvements and system enhancements

• Ability to interact well with internal and external customers

• Support the year end 1099 process.

• Support weekly AP runs in collaboration with the Treasury team.

• Assist with monitoring of payment of bills and associated expense reporting for vendors paid by credit card.

• Assist with any other areas regarding accounts payable entries and tasks as needed.

  Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or a related field from an accredited College/University is required

• Five (5) years of extensive Accounts Payable experience

• Advanced knowledge of full-cycle P2P process in a large company environment

• Must be proficient in Workday or other large ERP accounting systems.

• Ability to work on multiple priorities and demonstrate flexibility as priorities change

• Ability to analyze information and processes

• Must be proficient with MS Office including Adobe Acrobat

• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, supervisors, other departments, and third-party vendors.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with specific ability to translate complex financial information into an organized and presentable manner.

• Outstanding administrative and organizational skills.
