Description:

Our client is seeking a security analyst to join their SOC team on a contract to hire basis. Analysts on this team will have the opportunity to learn the security tools that are in the environment, work through incident response and reports, threat analysis and have the opportunity to work on project based work when shifts/ticket cue is slow. They recently transitioned to a new SIEM and automation tool - they have a number of large initiatives and projects across the security department and IT organization that will trickle down to this team. Prior experience as a security analyst or within a SOC is going to stack rank candidates higher than those without previous experience, along with the scripting experience. The tools + scripting languages candidates have experience with is not as important. The manager will entertain candidates that don't have previous experience, but if no prior experience the must have the drive, passion and knowledge of security operations concepts.
