Description We are offering an opportunity for an Accountant I to join our team in Las Cruces, New Mexico. The role involves working within the local government sector and dealing with a range of accounting tasks. This is a short term contract employment opportunity where the chosen candidate will play a crucial role in managing financial reports, coordinating accounts receivable, and performing internal auditing, among other responsibilities.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the accurate and timely preparation of required reports.

• Coordinate and manage Accounts Receivable to ensure financial transactions are accurately recorded.

• Review and analyze financial status reports to provide insightful feedback.

• Ensure accurate and efficient processing of journal entries.

• Assist in the preparation and delivery of presentations on financial matters.

• Conduct internal auditing to ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards.

• Manage financial reporting for grants, ensuring transparency and adherence to grant requirements.

• Utilize Accounting Software Systems and Enterprise Resource Planning tools for efficient financial management.

• Handle accounting functions related to Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR).

• Maintain a balance sheet account, ensuring all financial data is up-to-date and accurate. Requirements • Must hold a minimum of 1 year of experience in the field of accounting.

• Proficient in Accounting Software Systems.

• Familiarity with ADP - Financial Services is required.

• Knowledge of Cl Programming is a must.

• Experience with Concur software is necessary.

• Understanding of ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning is essential.

• Capability to handle all accounting functions.

• Proficiency in managing Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR).

• Experience in Auditing is a requirement.

• Ability to manage Balance Sheet Account is necessary.
