Manufacturing Systems Integration Manager

Status: Exempt (salaried)

Position Summary
The factory integration manager will work directly with multiple organizations to design and develop the architecture for manufacturing applications to communicate with automation, enterprise systems, and quality systems. This architecture should be used as a template for all current factories and future growth within the PLUG network of manufacturing sites. The manager will identify the key integration points between multiple manufacturing systems to develop a seamless data pipeline to be used to improve the manufacturing process. This individual should be able to both be tactical in execution of projects but strategic in the long term planning of a roadmap for factory integration. The position reports to the Manufacturing Engineering and Automation Leadership.

Essential Functions

\* Responsible for the design and integration of operations and manufacturing systems including MES implementation, ERP integration into daily manufacturing practices, automation integration, general process automation, and manufacturing systems database management
\* Support the collection and design of data flow through the various manufacturing systems within PLUG
\* Work closely with the IT and applications groups to understand integration points for PLUG critical systems with floor manufacturing operations
\* Collaborate with manufacturing, facilities, process engineering, quality, safety, and finance as stakeholders in factory integration implementation
\* Build the connection between the automated equipment and the manufacturing systems used across multiple sites within the PLUG network while developing the standards which will be deployed for current and future growth
\* Deliver information to the applicable parties in an easily usable and digestible format which can then be used to determine root cause and continuous improvement opportunities
\* Ensure a secure data pipeline for all manufacturing related information collected during the build and assembly processes

Education and Experience
Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, information systems, business administration, related field, or equivalent work experience
5+ years minimum experience in industrial manufacturing including strong emphasis on MES and ERP systems along with integration experience of automation and MES
Significant manufacturing experience in a fast paces and dynamic work environment
Detailed knowledge of the mechanical, electrical, and software components involved in successfully creating a seamless network of manufacturing systems and data flow
Experience leading projects involving large scale manufacturing capital equipment and system integration
Exceptional communication and presentation skills including regular communication with key functional and executive leaders
Demonstrated aptitude for systematic thinking and creative problem solving
Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
