Robert Half Sr. Financial Analyst in Latham, New York

Description We are offering a long-term contract employment opportunity for a Sr. Financial Analyst based in Latham, New York. As a Sr. Financial Analyst, you will be responsible for forecasting and analyzing financial data, assisting in budgeting and planning, and implementing new systems. This role is crucial in maintaining financial stability and driving business decision-making.

Responsibilities:

• Provide accurate forecasting and re-forecasting of monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue and expenditures.

• Generate and analyze forecast/budget vs. actual reports to identify variances.

• Assist in the development of annual budgets for corporate functions.

• Analyze current and past financial data and performance, identifying trends for improvement.

• Assist various budget areas in their forecasting, budgeting, and planning processes.

• Coordinate with finance team members to review financial information and forecasts.

• Implement and support the introduction of a new ERP system.

• Conduct monthly cash flow projections and maintain the cash flow model.

• Update the monthly labor budget report.

• Perform other tasks and responsibilities as assigned. Requirements • Must possess a deep understanding of Business Systems and their application in financial analysis.

• Proficiency in Confluence software is essential.

• Extensive experience with various Accounting Functions including auditing, accruals, and expense accruals.

• Familiarity with Budget Processes; ability to manage annual budget and budget administration.

• Knowledge of Capital Management is required.

• Experience with Monthly Accruals and Annual Financial Reporting is a must.

• Proficiency in Workday, Workday ERP, and Workday Integration is required.

• Candidates should be able to demonstrate a history of successful project management and execution.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are necessary for this role.

• Candidates should have a strong analytical mindset and problem-solving abilities.

• A bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field is required; a master's degree is preferred.

• Professional certifications such as CFA, CPA, or similar are highly desirable.

• A minimum of five years of experience in a similar role is required.
