JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Produce drawing from layouts, sketches, 3D models or physical parts for manufacturing and assembly
of aftermarket repair components, and release according to project schedule.
Check drawings for dimensional accuracy, completeness, and content to conform to company standards.
Release completed drawings according to Aurora document release procedures.
Maintain and update drawing files.
Revise and update existing drawings.
Layout and design new products and tooling under direction of the Project and/or Design Engineer.
Communicate, support, and achieve daily expectations.
Promote safety among all employees and visitors.
Generally works in an office environment
May be required to perform trailer audits
Is exposed to warehouse on a daily basis
Generally limited exposure to physical risk
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
A minimum of a two year technical degree with coursework in technical drafting.
1 to 3 years minimum of 3D CAD software experience, preferably with experience working in a
sheet metal environment.
Solid Edge experience a plus.
A basic understanding of fabrication techniques and machining processes.
Must be proficient in Microsoft programs such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Knowledge of the heavy duty trailer and truck parts industry with a general understanding of those parts and their functionality is a plus
Ability to multi-task between different projects and work quickly and accurately.
*Strong communication skills, both oral and written with the ability to read and interpret written information.
Strong Problem Solving skills with the ability to Identify and resolve problems in a timely manner.
Strong Analytical and Critical Thinking Skills
Must have the ability to exhibit sound and accurate judgment.
Must demonstrate high professionalism
Must be willing to work well under pressure
Must be a team player as well as willing to work independently
