Our team seeks a Bike Assembly Associate to help us create better outdoor experiences by sharing knowledge, building bikes according to spec, and engaging with the on-site bike assembly team. Schedule will be Full Time: Monday-Friday 6am-2:30pm

Responsibilities and Qualifications

How you will be successful:

  • Comprehend and apply Standard Operations Procedures (SOP’s) and receive direction from peers, operational heads, and Supervisors, Operations.

  • Ability to work safely, minding personal and team safety in daily operations.

  • Ability to work in multiple areas as trained daily or weekly.

  • Works smart by setting effective work goals, establishing priorities, and planning well to produce quality work.

  • Cross- Train in other departments based on business need.

  • Ability to meet or exceed attendance requirements, providing reliable and predictable attendance.

Your qualities:

Our Bike Assembly Associates are a vital part of the REI Team and are the most common entry point into our Distribution Center Team. This is a critical role in REI’s company as the Associate is the last critical REI touch point before a product reaches our customers’ doors! We are looking for bright and motivated people to join our Distribution Center staff and help contribute to REI’s success as the nation’s largest consumer co-op. The primary focus of the Central Bike Assembly Associate is to build out bicycles and like product to vendor specifications.

What we look for in our Bike Assembly Associates:

  • Prior warehouse, bike shop, or relevant experience.

  • Working knowledge of computer systems and/or RF equipment.

  • Prior experience using power equipment to in safe way.

  • Basic math skills.

  • The ability to move and shift boxes weighing an average of 20 to 30 pounds with a maximum of 65 pounds throughout a full shift of work.

  • The ability to work in a being upright or moving environment for 8-10 hour shifts
