We\'re seeking a part-time Assistant Cheese Affineur to help us with the aging process of our artisanal cheeses. The best candidate for this position is someone who is motivated, can work independently, exhibits versatility, and has strong attention to detail. Experience with cheese making and affinage is not required, and we are willing to train the right candidate. RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO: - Cheese affinage - Cutting, wrapping, and packaging cheeses - Assisting in cheese production - Cleaning - Record keeping REQUIREMENTS Applicants are required to have the ability to lift at least 50 lbs. Must be willing to work in cool and humid environments. Training will be provided for motivated candidates. BENEFITS AND COMPENSATION: Wage is commensurate with experience and willingness to learn. Benefits include employee discounts and weekly milk stipends. This position is about 30 hours a week, with negotiable start time and schedule. Full-time position options may be available.
