Triosim Corporation Manual Machinist in Leland, North Carolina
Summary:
Manual Machinist with 3+ years of experience. This position will be responsible for safely performing multiple machine tasks. Applicant must be able to assess quality standards and ensure work meets exact specifications.
*Essential Functions: *
- Must be able to operate multiple machines including manual lathes, manual mills, horizontal boring mills and vertical turret lathes.
- Must understand materials, cutting tools, speeds and feeds, and machining techniques.
- Knowledge of speeds and feeds, proper tool selection and machine strategies that avoid unnecessary machining
- Responsible for personal safety and the safety of those around him/her. Maintains safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations.
- Re-machine parts to repair them and still maintain critical dimensions.
- Requires long periods of standing, reaching and using hands to handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls;
- Must be able to frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- Must be able to complete work with limited supervision.
- Maintains product specifications by observing drilling, grooving, and cutting, including turning, and facing operations; taking measurements; detecting malfunctions; adhering to quality assurance procedures and processes.
- Maintains equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements.
- Maintains continuity among work shifts by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.
- Must be able to handle multiple projects and work independently
- Must be able to read measuring instruments, hold tolerances, and generate desired surface finishes.
- Must be able to read and interpret blueprints and perform quality checks as needed
Work Environment:
- Industrial environment.

- Standing, walking, sitting, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, reaching, handling, feeling, talking, hearing, visual acuity, accommodation and color vision Moving, carrying, lifting, objects in excess of 50 lbs.
