We are looking for an experienced, curious and self-motivated individual to join a team that will be responsible for the development of new products and services for the organization. Partnering with technical teams and the business, they will provide subject matter expertise and build strong relationships with our customers and internal stakeholders.

Working Schedule :

This is a full-time position with standard working hours of Monday to Friday.

Careers with Optum offer flexible work arrangements and individuals who live and work in the Republic of Ireland will have the opportunity to split their monthly work hours between our Dublin or Letterkenny Office and telecommuting from a home-based office in a hybrid work model.

Primary Responsibilities of the Senior Data Analyst:

• Assist the development of new products to meet customer requirements and needs 

o Assisting and supporting technical teams in the design and deployment of tools and products into the marketplace 

o Ensuring the delivery of robust, sustainable and scalable solutions, while engaging with IT and business partners 

• Work with our customers and stakeholders to understand their analytics needs and deliverables, act as consultant, to propose business solutions, product and services to drive change 

• Collaborate with business development and product development managers on roadmap planning, prioritization, business requirements sessions and other key activities 

• Participate in multiple phases of product delivery, including requirements gathering, testing, training, and support 

• Act as a subject matter expertise regarding Data and Analytics solutions for product teams 

• Understand data requirements from customers and provide recommendations to product teams 

o Define data models and research, interpret, and analyse diverse and complex data 

o Produce analytical outputs, executive summaries and analytics templates for product teams 

o Develop, test and QC data, reports and dashboards 

o Lead UAT activities

• Assist in onboarding customers and provisioning users

• Assist in Customer Support, Operations and Services post deployment and go-live 

• Handle customer relationships and proactive engage to prevent issues 

o Supporting Incident Management and follow ups with users

o Managing and Monitoring perations metrics and reporting

o Improving existing data processes and proposing improvements and fixes to data, systems and SW

Required Qualifications of the Sr Data Analyst:

• Degree Qualified (BA, BS) in a relevant field (IT/Computer sciences, SW development, Operations, Data Analytics, Data Science, Engineering, Economics, Business) or equivalent experience 

• Proven data and analytics experience, including product development and/or product management projects 

o Extensive experience in Data Analytics and/or Data Engineering fields: 

o Proficient in analysing diverse and complex data, performing exploratory data analysis, producing descriptive statistics, and assessing Data Quality  Advanced data manipulation and data modelling skills and proficiency in at least SQL and Excel 

• Experience in at least one data modelling, scripting or statistical language such as R or Python 

• Excellent data visualisation skills and very good knowledge of Tableau SW or Power BI (or similar) 

• Very good understanding of IT systems, databases and other related technologies 

• Knowledge of Application and SW development/implementation methodologies like Agile and Scrum, or similar 

• Strong written and verbal communication skills, presentation skills 

o High proficiency in technical writing and technical documentation 

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills 

• Experience in creating new products and services, or deploying large scale tech solutions.

*Preferred Qualifications: *

• Master’s, M.B.A., or PhD in a relevant field 

• Business Acumen, customer facing mindset and/or relevant experience 

• Experience in pharmacy benefit management, pharmacy, healthcare consultancy or related fields 

• Experience working in a large multinational company or similar environment 

• Ability to operate flexibly in a rapidly changing work environment 

• Strong organizational skills 

• Knowledge of Project Management methodologies, like PRINCE2 

• Experience working in a customer success team, customer support operations, technical support, or customer service 

• Excellent understanding of Analytics, Data Science, Databases and Cloud computing
