Job Description: The Utilities & SIG Engineer role is a member of the Area Leadership Team focused on the area of utilities and facilities. This position will be responsible for reducing maintenance losses, implementing preventative maintenance, reviewing and coordinating work, and managing our Sustainable In a Generation (SIG) program focusing on the area of utilities and facilities. This position will be considered the technical expert for their area, they will be involved in the escalation process and the management of the systems in this area. What are we looking for?

  • Industrial Utilities Certification, Journeyman, or vocational schooling preferred. Must demonstrate experience with mechanical-electrical skills.
  • Required State of Ohio Boiler Operator License
  • Preferred but not required PSM License.

``` - Possess advanced computer skills, knowledge of programs such as MS Office Suite, CMMS (eMaint, SAP, or other similar), PME, BAS, Power BI.

``` - Have experience operating and troubleshooting utilities systems. - Self-Development: Ability to learn additional skills and develop in role with additional responsibilities. - Machine shop tool, fabrication, welding experience, plumbing, pipefitting, not required but is a bonus.

What will be your key responsibilities?

  • Complete daily and weekly responsibilities to ensure the plant facility systems are operating at high standards to support the plant production
  • Leads through influence in the creation of PMs and work instructions.
  • Leads in the collection and organization of data, documentation, equipment mapping, reports, permits, licenses, and certificates.
  • Able to coach and track the step up cards and skills matrix for the technical team associates.
  • Expert in the operation and preventive maintenance plans for building utilities including but not limited to:
    • Air compressors, chillers, boiler systems, soft water systems, reverse osmosis systems, waste water systems, fire protection systems, air handling systems, nitrogen generation systems, chlorine systems, etc.
  • Maintain a budget for equipment in this area.
  • Maintain all equipment according to State Licenses and Permits
  • Understanding of spare parts requirements and procurement of parts for critical assets.
  • Drive delivery at or above target of following metrics: TRS, production reliability, stops reduction, mean time between failure, defects found and fixed, work order/PM completion rate
  • Support spares storeroom process and suggest improvements on how to manage spare parts
  • Flow to work as needed to meet the business need
  • Takes corrective actions in solving problems to root cause level.
  • Understands maintenance scheduling, planning, and inventory management.
  • Understands energy monitoring and familiar with platforms to track data and use in their daily work.
  • Understand building management systems and able to use in daily work.
  • Lead SIG initiatives in order to continuously improve our systems to reduce our consumption around water, air, gas, electrical and steam systems (WAGEs).
  • Lead SIG and utilities projects aimed at improving and reducing issues around ergonomics, quality, safety, reliability, and sustainability.
  • Lead in the reporting function of our performance around WAGEs.

Understand and adhere to LOTO, Confined Space, and all other plant safety/GMP requirements

Possess a fundamental understanding of electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic schematics and mechanical drawings
