TEKsystems IT Business Analyst - Finance in Lexington, Kentucky

Description:

We are currently seeking an exceptional candidate to be part of the IT Global Business Analyst Team. This person will be responsible for a variety of operational and project-based application and platform design and configuration activities, focusing on the accounting and financial areas of the business. Responsibilities: • Responsible for identifying and analyzing user requirements • Learn and understand the “as is” environment to be able to provide functional expertise and knowledge of the existing business practices • Design systems to meet and reconcile each business requirement • Liaise between the user community and project team • Represent the user interests in system design and software configuration planning meetings • Work with users to develop necessary processes or procedural changes to accommodate the software applications • Configure existing systems and load/manipulate data to modify system behavior • Work with the users to develop, document and execute test scenarios • Coordinate and prepare end user training • Contribute to overall project status reporting Soft Skills & Character Attributes: • Works effectively with individuals of differing views • Displays a sense of urgency • Can facilitate effective brainstorming • Shows a strong sense of purpose • Looks toward the broadest possible view of an issue/challenge • Can easily pose future scenarios • Can think globally (broader than own world) • Awareness and working knowledge of IT infrastructure and the SDLC process • Proficiency in business applications strategy and implementation • Follows current trends and has general business knowledge applicable to their role • Relies on functional/technical expertise to get results • Effective cross-functional decision making • Proficiency in collaborating across teams to produce design documents.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

• Experience as a Business Analyst supporting Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 and/or D365 F&O. • Specific experience working within financial ERP modules such AR, AP, GL, Cash and Bank Mgmt, Inventory Mgmt, Cost Accounting, Budgeting and Forecasting • Reporting & Data Visualization Experience – they use PowerBI but experience in other tools such as Tableau, Domo, SSRS, etc.. would still be seen as a plus. • Any type of formal accounting or finance industry certification (CPA, CFP, etc...
