VectorCSP Logistics Specialist, Senior in Lexington Park, Maryland

Job Summary:

Provide guidance and supervision for logistics analysts supporting aircraft, weapon systems, training, or SE programs

Education and Experience:

  • BS or BA degree in Acquisition, Logistics Management, Business, Management, or Engineering
  • At least eight (8) years' experience in acquisition, LORA, maintenance planning, logistics support/ supportability analysis, operational availability, DMSMS, and/or resource requirements analysis related to acquisition and in-service support of DoD weapons systems. Life cycle costing experiencing desired.
  • Direct experience supporting NAVAIR PMAs preferred
  • Experience with standard NAVAIR product support and logistics IT tools (COMPASS, OOMA, ILSMS, DECKPLATE, etc.) preferred

Essential Duties:

This position provides logistics management support for NAVAIR programs.

  • Conducts logistics, supportability, reliability, maintainability, and operational analyses and provides recommendations for tailoring, optimizing, and establishing logistics element requirements in support of aircraft, weapon systems, training, or SE programs.

  • Provides recommendations for changes to site support including maintenance planning, phased support, manpower and personnel requirements, initial provisioning and material support, support equipment, training and training devices, technical data, PHSandT, and facilities.

  • Provides recommendations for the development of Life Cycle Cost (LCC) and Total Ownership Cost (TOC) Management Plans.

  • Provides recommendations for the review and development of maintenance plans, logistics support analysis (LSA) records, maintenance tasks, and level of repair analysis (LORA).

Knowledge, Skill and Abilities:

  • Understanding of DoD aircraft and/or weapon system life cycle sustainment principles
  • Ability to lead a team of Journeyman- and Junior-level logistics analysts
  • Understanding of USN and NAVAIR acquisition and life cycle support policies and standards preferred
