Navistar, Inc. Logistics Center of Excellence (COE) Director in Lisle, Illinois

Position Overview

Navistar has a great opportunity for a Logistics Center of Excellence (COE) Director to join our Logistics Leadership Team.

The individual will build and develop a Logistics COE and drive operational excellence throughout the department.

The scope will include strategic support for all Supply Chain functions: Production Planning, CRC, Material Planning, SCIS, Engineering, Warehousing, Packaging, EDI, and Inbound and Outbound Transportation.

Responsibilities

This position will be responsible for new program and strategic initiative overall logistics readiness through implementation, logistics supplier ratings and new supplier logistics onboarding, guiding process and method standardization, eliminating waste (cost, process, CO2), and establishing a governance process to ensure seamless support for all Production Facilities.

This position will work collaboratively with Engineering, Production, Procurement, IT, and Finance. And will also represent Navistar in the Traton Group Logistics Product Development Process (PDP) Steering Team and actively seek and share best practices with all Traton brands.

Logistics areas of responsibility include:

  • Program Management Office

  • Governance

  • Process standardization

  • Sustainability

  • Digitalization

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree

  • At least 14 years of materials management or supply chain experience

  • At least 6 years management experience

OR

  • Master's degree

  • At least 12 years of materials management or supply chain experience

  • At least 6 years management experience

OR

  • At least 16 years of materials management or supply chain experience

  • At least 6 years management experience

Additional Requirements

  • Qualified candidates, excluding current Navistar employees, must be legally authorized on an unrestricted basis (US Citizen, Legal Permanent Resident, Refugee or Asylee) to be employed in the United States.
