Navistar, Inc. Logistics Process Associate Director in Lisle, Illinois

Position Overview

We are currently seeking a Logistics Process Associate Director to join our team. This role leads logistics governance and process improvement initiatives through the disciplined use of measurements, accountability, analysis and discussion of process alternatives in order to arrive at best practices. Plans, manages, and controls the activities of a team that provides operational support for a business segment, group or team. Brings expertise or identifies subject matter experts in support of multi-functional efforts in process improvement, data capture and analysis, infrastructure support, tool ownership and compliance with procedures, etc. Advises business groups by providing strategic direction to initiative prioritization, integration and resource application. Ensures that policies and procedures align with corporate vision. Selects, develops, and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function.

Responsibilities

  • As a level in the Management Track, work is primarily accomplished through setting direction, deploying resources, and managing others.

  • Develops, implements, and facilitates logistics governance process.

  • Leads process creation across the logistics department, including system and process standardization.

  • Makes recommendations on prioritization of resources and implementing changes to methods based on operational and strategic decisions.

  • Works closely with cross functional departments including but not limited to production, procurement, corporate business process, and finance.

  • Adapts and executes functional or departmental business plans and contributes to the development of functional or departmental strategies.

  • Works on complex issues where analysis of situations or data requires in-depth organizational knowledge.

  • Development of methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for projects, programs, sourcing, and employees.

  • Interactions frequently involve cross functional leadership, such as negotiating with management or attempting to influence senior level leaders regarding matters of significance to the organization.

  • Investigate new 3rd party process and data analytics systems for logistics.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree

  • At least 12 years of process improvement, lean or six sigma experience

  • At least 6 years of management experience

OR

  • At least 14 years of process improvement, lean or six sigma experience

  • At least 6 years of management experience

Additional Requirements

  • Qualified candidates, excluding current Navistar employees, must be legally authorized on an unrestricted basis (US Citizen, Legal Permanent Resident, Refugee or Asylee) to be employed in the United States.
