Lead CNC Machinist

Job Description

The Lead CNC Machinist will be the key operator in our CNC machining area. From the first day, you'll need to be capable (will be trained on our specific applications) of designing parts in SolidCAM, programming edits in g-code, performing setups (4-5 axis milling centers), conducting changeovers, tooling changes, and first part inspections. This role requires an individual who is comfortable with minimal formal training on the hard skills, as you'll be working on custom parts and longer runs based on sales and orders. You will be trained on the workflow of the position/company but need to have the hard skills to do the job from Day 1 (for example: you will not be trained to program in SolidCAM or read micrometers).

Work Environment

Our facility is extremely clean and well-lit with partial temperature control, providing a very comfortable workspace in the machine shop. On average, you will produce around 200 parts per day, so while it's not high volume, the pace is steady.
