    Position Description:

    The role of the Medication Refill/Test Result Nurse is to assist with preparing and queueing to providers patient refill requests, as well as communicating test results to patients after review by the provider and relaying specific instructions and follow up plans .

    Requirements:

  • Education/Certification/Licensure

  • Current Licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of New York.

  • Current Basic Life Support certification.

  • Experience/Skills/Proficiencies:

  • Bachelor’s Degree of Nursing from an accredited nursing school, preferred.

  • Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology and pathophysiology.

  • Familiarity with health care systems, regulations, policies, and functions.

  • Understanding of documentation standards.

  • Knowledge of equipment, supplies, and materials needed for medical treatment.

  • Works well in a team setting and demonstrates strong cooperation skills.

  • Skill in reading and following written and oral medical orders.

  • Skill in initiating appropriate emergency procedures.

  • Skill in handling a number of tasks simultaneously.

  • Experience in a physician office, preferred.

    Pay Range: $28.50-$36.00 DOE
