Alabama Coushatta Tribe of Texas Smoke Shop Assistant Cook in Livingston, Texas
THIS IS A SEASONAL, PART TIME POSITION Summary: This is a responsible non-supervisory position to assist and help provide nutritious meals to all Tribal children who participate in the Tribal Summer Food Program of the Alabama-Coushatta Tribe of Texas. Hours from 9am- 2pm but can vary.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assists and helps prepare all meals in accordance with TSFP guidelines
- Maintains kitchen equipment and utensils are in safe, clean, and neat manner according to health regulations
- Maintains adequate inventory of food
- Wash hands frequently during food preparation and clean up
- Assists in the clean -up of the meal preparation and feeding areas
- Reports any injuries or other emergencies to the Summer Food Monitor
- Maintains a safe and clean environment for the participants
- Performs other duties as may be relevant for the position
Education and Experience:
- Must have a High School Diploma or GED
- Must have Food Handler's Certification
- Must be able to attend SFSP train/orientation prior to first day of program
- Must be able to pass drug test
- Must be able to pass a background check
