Position Purpose:

As a Workforce Development Educator, you will design, implement, and deliver national workforce development programs and educational plans that enhance staff competency in relationship-based care. By utilizing adult learning methodologies, you’ll create a safe and respectful environment for both learners and clinical staff, ensuring they are well-equipped to provide the highest quality of care to our patients.

  • Assess & Develop: Collaborate with clinical leaders to assess, plan, and develop educational content that facilitates effective skill acquisition and promotes the learning process for all employees.

  • Create Engaging Programs: Design and implement dynamic educational programs that foster cognitive, affective, and psychomotor outcomes, ensuring a vibrant learning environment.

  • Facilitate Learner Development: Guide clinical leaders and staff in integrating the values and behaviors expected of incoming learners, promoting a culture of support and growth.

  • Collaborate with Partners: Work closely with external education and training partners to develop impactful content tailored to our learners' needs.

  • Evaluate & Improve: Utilize assessment and evaluation strategies to measure student learning outcomes, continually refining programs to reflect contemporary healthcare trends.

  • Ensure Success: Develop effective handoffs of students to clinical leaders, providing them with the education and development needed for their success.

  • Commit to Quality Improvement: Engage in continuous quality improvement efforts, demonstrating a commitment to developing and maintaining competence in your role.

  • Champion Teaching as Scholarship: Recognize and engage in the importance of teaching as a scholarly activity, fostering a culture of learning and inquiry.

  • Build Collaborative Relationships: Maintain positive rapport and cooperative relationships across the organization, addressing conflicts constructively and aiding in problem resolution.

  • Compliance & Integrity: Stay informed about applicable laws, regulations, and Trinity Health’s Integrity and Compliance Program, ensuring adherence to ethical and professional standards.

What You Bring:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Nursing with comprehensive knowledge of nursing practice and education.

  • 5+ years of experience in a Nursing department with increasing responsibility and interest in education, practice, and quality.

  • A minimum of 2 years of experience as a clinical educator in an acute care setting.

  • A current Nursing License.

  • A commitment to continuous learning and professional development through journals, affiliations, and education programs.

  • Experience in designing, developing, and delivering various training types and curriculums, including virtual training formats.

  • Strong understanding of training principles, methodologies, and evaluation techniques.

  • A collaborative mindset, comfortable operating in a shared leadership environment.

  • A personal presence characterized by honesty, integrity, and a caring demeanor, with the ability to inspire and motivate others.

Pay Range- $40.62/hr- $60.93/hr
