Aerotek CNC Lathe Machinist in Lockport, New York

Job Description

Join our team as a CNC Lathe Machinist, reporting directly to the Plant Manager. In this role, you will operate, set up, and edit programs for CNC lathes. Your responsibilities will include reading and interpreting blueprints, inspecting your own work using measuring tools, and adhering to production requirements by producing a set number of pieces per hour. You will be expected to maintain tight tolerances in your work, use mathematics such as fractions and decimals, and stand and operate machines for the entirety of your shift.

Hard Skills

  • CNC lathe experience

  • Machine set up

  • Micrometer experience

  • Blueprint reading

  • 1st piece inspection

  • CAM program software

Soft Skills

  • Attention to detail

  • Mathematical proficiency

  • Ability to follow strict procedures

Work Environment

Our workplace is an ISO approved industrial machine shop where you will be required to follow certain procedures and guidelines. The available positions are for the 1st shift (6:00am-2:30pm, Monday - Friday) and the 3rd shift (7:30pm - 6:00am, Sunday - Wednesday).
