Nexeo Staffing Associate Setup Technician in LOGAN, Utah
Nexeo is currently seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Associate Setup Technician. In this role,you will be tasked with assembling,targeting,maintaining,and troubleshooting various types of tooling,tool capsules,and offloading devices integral to our manufacturing processes. The ideal candidate will develop the necessary skills to install and target production equipment and provide continuous process improvement suggestions.
Responsibilities
Inspect tool capsules,production tooling,presses,and press subsystems.
Polish carbide and learn proper assembly techniques for various equipment.
Calculate and achieve correct bench and tool capsule settings for installations.
Set and adjust press subsystem timing for tool capsule targeting.
Utilize optical gauging equipment to measure targeted models.
Read and interpret engineering drawings accurately.
Understand filling characteristics for dry press production and make necessary adjustments.
Inspect,set up,and maintain offloading equipment.
Perform selected preventative maintenance on production equipment.
Participate in kiln maintenance tasks,including roller changes and control panel readings.
Enter data accurately during setup,targeting,and adjustments.
Conduct standard QA inspections using dye checks,visual,and optical gauging equipment.
Maintain a clean and organized work area while adhering to safety regulations.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Coursework at the college or technical school level is preferred; relevant experience may be substituted.
Proficiency in SPC,basic computer skills,and the use of measuring and shop equipment.
Experience with hand tool mechanics.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work well with team members,maintain a positive attitude,and demonstrate reliable attendance.
Frequent ability to lift and carry 21-50 lbs.
Ability to occasionally lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
Must be able to perform strenuous physical activities and work in various conditions as described.
Pay
$15.00 - $22.00 Per Hour
Schedule
Full-time position,40-hour work week
