We’re on the hunt for a dynamic, results-driven Business Development Manager to join our trailblazing team to help lead Pay with Bank transfer towards the Number 1 spot for Open Banking Payments within the UK market.

We are a metric driven team with signing and revenue targets, looking for a high impact individual that is passionate about the future of payments, hungry for an opportunity to expand a high growth business, work in a start up like environment, and is committed to taking the business to the next level. Your role? Identify key sales opportunities, create commercial proposals, and close deals to deliver revenue for the business.

How will you make an impact in this role?

  • Consultative approach: be agile and committed in sales approach, adapting to clients challenges and tailoring the sale to a problem/solution approach.

  • Pipeline management: Build and manage pipeline to move prospects through the sales cycle from first contact, contract signings and getting the merchant live.

  • Stakeholder management: develop meaningful relationships with key internal teams to find opportunities, maximise existing relationships and deepen our value to merchants.

  • Negotiation: skillfully negotiate terms with prospects to agree mutually beneficial outcomes.

  • Market insights: maintain knowledge of key industry trends, competitive issues, and products.

  • Strategic thinking: identify new business development opportunities for Open Banking Payments, through new use cases, non-accepting merchants, and partnerships.

  • Commercial acumen: thrive in metric-driven roles, able to analyse financial information and synthesise into a commercial proposal.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Successful and proven track record in sales.

  • Entrepreneurial, ambitious and proactive disposition.

  • Ability to uncover prospect challenges and design the sales process in a problem/solution approach.

  • Comfortable in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

  • Self-starter with a growth mindset and high level of comfort working in white space and ambiguity.

  • Experience of successfully negotiating from prospecting to closure

  • Strong analytical skills, comfortable with understanding and synthesizing financial data.

  • Expert communicator across various business functions and levels of seniority in large organizations and virtual/in-person environments.

  • University degree or significant relevant professional experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in a startup environment.

  • In-depth understanding of payments landscape, PSD2 and Open Banking.
