Job Description

Cell Therapy Case Manager

Gilead Sciences, Inc. is a research-based biopharmaceutical company founded in 1987, that has pursued and achieved breakthroughs in medicine for more than three decades, with the goal of creating a healthier world for all people.

Kite, a Gilead Company, is engaged in the development of innovative cancer immunotherapies with a goal of providing rapid, long-term durable response and eliminating the burden of chronic care. The company is focused on chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T cell therapies designed to empower the immune system's ability to recognise and kill tumours.

This position will be based in our offices in Holborn, UK

The Cell Therapy Case Manager will be part of the UK and Ireland Case Manager team, based in our Holborn office in Central London. The successful candidate will be responsible for the coordination between hospital and Kite manufacturing for the scheduling and tracking of patient cells through each step of the cell journey, supporting sites with exceptional customer service.

The position will be reporting into the Head of Commercial for Cell Therapy.

Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):

  • Supports all activities within the Patient Identification to Leukapheresis processes; Receipt of Leukapheresis Material to Infusion processes; and the Post Infusion processes.

  • Manages patient enrolment and cell management in Kite Konnect (Kite order management system).

  • Acts as the functional expert for the Kite Konnect™ Hospital Portal, and contributes towards ongoing enhancements of the Kite Konnect system.

  • Demonstrates exemplary customer service to internal and external customers at all times, providing support in a timely and flexible way to meet the needs of customers.

  • Proactively facilitates collection of customer feedback and drives improvement actions based on feedback

  • Acts as the interface between the Kite local team and regional Quality team regarding site qualification - identification, coordination, training and authorisation.

  • Attends and assists with virtual site visit training as requested by Operations Program Management.

Requirements:

  • Has worked in a role involving precise verbal and written communication related to therapies, devices, medicines, patient care or safety

  • Strong attention to detail and rigorous data accuracy

  • Diligent, reliable and willing to ask for help from others

  • Excellent planning, organising and time management

  • Follows procedures and understands their role in operating a high-quality process

  • Makes process improvement suggestions and is always looking to align and optimise

  • Proven track record of high performance

  • Demonstrated initiative, willingness to do what it takes in support of the customer

  • Ability to successfully work and collaborate across multiple teams and functions

  • Experience of using complex IT systems or IT portals in the fields of supply chain management, customer service, procurement is preferred

  • Demonstrate initiative and a willingness to work hands-on and with a sense of urgency, in a fast-paced rapidly changing environment

  • Working knowledge of regulatory and compliance

  • Graduate-level degree is preferred
