The Enterprise Architect is responsible for supporting our clients in achieving their strategic objectives whilst realising high value sales objectives for NTT. Through a combination of deep technical and industry knowledge, you will assist our sales team in driving successful account performance whilst helping our clients to realise the value that NTT brings to their business. You will become a trusted advisor to our clients, taking a key role in the development of the account with our sales community.

The Enterprise Architect will be aligned on a 50:50 basis to global account's and growth / investment accounts and will be required to have or to rapidly develop the relevant industry knowledge. The Enterprise Architect will be required to engage across all the business areas and the wider digital strategy functions within the client(s). The focus of the role is in developing strategic engagements with the client(s), supporting existing and new NTT client engagements and to provide thought leadership on digital and technology strategy as it aligns to the client’s ambitious business plans and the NTT growth priorities.

Key Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Build trusted relationships with client decision makers, incl. the CIO, the CTO, Chief Architects and their direct reports, as well as business unit decision makers within the customer’s organisation.

  • Maintains a significant knowledge of NTT Data, alongside extensive competitive and multi-vertical industry awareness.

  • Guide sales leads in their ability to paint the vision of how NTT would be the best partner to take the customer to where they aspire to be.

  • Demonstrate technical leadership by orchestrating sales and other business resources to move opportunities to close and support these opportunities where applicable thereafter in a reducing capacity.

  • Focuses on long-term sustainable growth through the deployment and usage of NTT services by their customers.

  • Gathers and provides 360° insight of the client IT Technology profile, Partner and Competitive landscape of UK&I assigned Strategic clients.

  • As an account partner to sales leadership the Enterprise Architect will participate in internal and external account planning.

  • Think and act globally, whilst guiding in-country and regional teams.

  • Educate the account team and help drive consistent training and development of account managers specific to assigned account.

  • Drives understanding and management of the industry and the current state of technology, plus future industry trends that affect the client.

  • Consistently reviews and guides the sales account plan and roadmap and aligns to the client strategy, processes and digital assets.

  • Support and drive the development and delivery of strategic workshops and executive briefing centres, to explore the strategic opportunity and align the NTT strategy accordingly.

  • Work and engage with other NTT team members and act as advisor in solution design situations for assigned strategic growth and investment accounts.

Knowledge, Skills and Attributes:

  • Technical knowledge and expertise across a broad range of technical disciplines including network, security, workplace, cloud, applications, data, digital technology and operational service delivery.

  • Solution Sales skills – ability to link NTT offerings to specific client and prospect needs and outcomes and translate into commercial propositions.

  • Account development skills – help our sales community to develop account plans and strategies by recognising the value that NTT can bring to our clients and developing propositions that align to the broader account strategy.

  • Quantifying where our cost of sale should be focused.

  • Demonstrable knowledge and understanding of Global service delivery models and the associated challenges.

  • Ability to influence decision making at C level relationships.

  • The ability to constructively challenge at all levels.

  • Mentoring and knowledge sharing – the ability to improve the capabilities and knowledge of those around you through your experience and influence.

  • Knowledge/experience of multiple vertical industries – understanding of industry vertical business challenges, trends, key processes and application of technologies to achieve outcomes.

Academic Qualifications and Certifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred but not essential

  • Preferably TOGAF or other (e.g. Zachman) Enterprise Architecture qualification

Required Experience:

  • Extensive experience in an Enterprise Architecture role preferably within a global systems integrator

  • Experience in developing strategic technology roadmaps and creating target operating models

  • Excellent customer facing skills, building relationships with clients and understanding how technology can influence their objectives

  • Experience in leading a team of technical architects

  • Experience in working with technology vendors to help drive go to market solutions and developing solution portfolios

  • Demonstrate a commercial acumen regarding the value of technology solutions within a client environment

  • Experience in owning and managing solution response to client commercial processes such as RFP’s

  • Complex program delivery experience
