Finance Manager

The Finance Manager is responsible for the financial governance and reporting of the UK&I PJM function. Key responsibilities include month-end journal posting and reporting, balance sheet reconciliation, budget and forecasting and department SOX Controls (Billing Checklist, IPE and etc), work order and Project profitability management. This role is also critical for business partnering with the PJM operations team to meet department growth targets.

Responsibilities

•Able to present to senior stakeholders with impact, energy and insight

•Develop and maintain effective relationships with key internal and external stakeholders working collaboratively with the PJM Project Directors across MAC (Moves and Changes) and CAT (Cross Account Team), Client, Account, and UK Platform Country Teams

•Ensure that all billing is identified and completed and that all costs are correctly captured and reported

•Responsible for an in-depth knowledge of the commercial model of the PJM businesses to ensure that all cost elements are appropriately billed and accounted for and resources are effectively utilised

•Manage and oversee the Contract Support Function including direct reports and the Contract Support activities such as billing trackers/proposals, PO raising and approvals, invoice pool and supplier payments, working capital management, customer and vendor management, DoAs / approvals.

•Finance issues and solutions are identified, communicated and resolved promptly

•Working hand in hand with the PJM teams and UK Country team to provide timely, accurate and insightful financial analysis, forecasts and budgets

•Support business reviews and manage agreed actions

•Ensures all aspects of financial accounting and reporting are compliant with all statutory, SOX and CBRE and client’s policies and procedures and obligations supporting the PJM Finance Lead

•Supports the development, implementation and maintenance of financial and operational control processes to ensure a sound internal control structure that complies statutory, SOX and CBRE policies and procedures

•Develops systems and processes to enable improved financial insight, performance and financial. Previous involvement in Financial Systems Transformation is desirable.

•Responsible for the timely and accurate delivery of all internal and customer accounting and financial reporting

•Delivers PJM platform monthly management account reporting on business performance of all PJM lines of business, including the completion of month end processes, variance analysis and commentaries. Provides clear insight to financial performance and cost analysis. Report the data to the respective PJM teams and PJM Finance Lead monthly

•Complete balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring timeliness and accuracy and review/approve balance sheet recs

•Manage costs, budgeting and billing, to identify operational and financial risks and opportunities

•Works with business to deliver improved financial performance and profit improvement and ensures CBRE achieves appropriate profitability in line with contract commercial model

•Support corporate planning, budgeting and forecasting information

•Provides support and insight into working capital management and works proactively to support business to ensure working capital is managed effectively

Person Specification

•Qualified Accountant with 1-year PQE

•Highly computer literate. MS Office including Excel, Word and PowerPoint

•Experience of managing a team 1-2 years

•Able to work under pressure and with changing demands and priorities

•Confidential and discrete approach

•A team player, able to work well with peers and colleagues within the business and across CBRE
