Google Privacy Web Ecosystem Consultant in London, United Kingdom

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

  • Candidates will typically have 6 years of experience working with client-side web technologies (e.g., HTML, CSS, JavaScript, or HTTP).

  • Typically 6 years of experience coding with one or more programming languages (e.g., Java, C/C++, Python).

  • Experience in technical troubleshooting, and managing internal/external partners or customers.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience with industry advertising solutions, including aiming, re-marketing, measurement and reporting, or working with the Advertising technology (ad-tech) ecosystem.

  • Experience in writing detailed technical documentation, with excellent technical writing skills.

  • Knowledge of the tools, technologies (e.g., front and back-end) and issues facing web developers.

  • Ability to distill disparate observations into structured insights/feedback and trend reports.

  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

gUP builds innovative solutions that take user experience and engagement with Google to the next level, supporting users across products, countries, cultures, incomes, and identities. We advocate for users through partnerships with product areas at Google (and some Alphabet businesses), supporting Google’s consumer products ecosystem and enabling numerous launches for Google’s consumer products each year.

  • Provide technical and consultative support to strategic web partners to help them prepare, implement, test and migrate to new Privacy Sandbox APIs, while satisfying business needs.

  • Understand and represent the various interests and needs of a diverse set of partner, platform and ad-tech verticals (e.g., News, Commerce, CMS, CDNs).

  • Drive early testing and adoption of Privacy Sandbox APIs while collecting, synthesizing and sharing early partner feedback with Chrome Product and Engineering teams.

  • Help prepare the web and ad-tech ecosystems for the changes Chrome will be making to improve privacy on the web, including the planned third-party cookie deprecation.
