WTW Senior Director - Life Insurance Sales in London, United Kingdom

Reporting into the UK&I Life Division Sales and Practice Lead, the Senior Director for Life Insurance Sales will have a senior client-facing role within the wider UK Insurance Consulting and Technology (“ICT”) line of business. They will utilise their existing network and deep expertise in insurance to drive targeted business development efforts with our clients. WTW clients will generally, though not exclusively, be large domestic life insurers, along with some complex multi-national organisations.

The Role

  • Business Development

  • Take charge of specific client relationship teams to enhance our comprehension of their requirements. Conduct strategic reviews and engage with senior stakeholders to leverage the existing networks of both yourself and your peers.

  • Collaborate with other client relationship leaders across WTW globally to identify new opportunities and sales.

  • Drive the sales process, from the origination of opportunities through to the completion of the sale.

  • Deliver presentations at client/industry meetings or conferences to contribute to the development of the WTW brand and enhance personal profile.

  • Proposition Development

  • Develop own understanding of WTW propositions and help to guide the proposition leaders towards effective and timely innovation.

  • Leverage feedback from clients and other insights into market changes, to further develop ICT propositions to increase the relevance of offerings (and potential sales).

  • People Development

  • Assist in the recruitment and cultivation of the upcoming generation of sales professionals within the team, supporting our consultants in realising their maximum potential.

The Requirements

  • A recognised UK/Ireland Life industry expert with strategic insight, operating at the C-suite level.

  • Evidenced market credibility by having a well-established network of trusted partner-client relationships across the life insurance industry, within specific business functions such as finance, risk, distribution and propositions.

  • Demonstrated expertise in comprehending client challenges and collaborating to strategically present solutions that cater to their requirements.

  • Strong ability to interact with senior clients including those who operate across multiple jurisdictions.

  • Track record of developing a sales pipeline and generating revenue.

  • A proven track record of defining and driving the delivery of large, complex sales processes.

  • Demonstrated leadership skills including the motivation and development of sales teams.
