Why this role matters

Group Finance COE was established to help the BT Finance community maximise the value that we gain from our investment in SAP. The function leads on the design, development and support of standardised SAC templates and dashboards that enable best in class reporting capabilities across the BT Finance community.

This role is strategic and technical in nature and will lead the team focused on building new, standardised reporting templates and dashboards, and rationalising our legacy reporting landscape.

What you'll be doing

  • Drive the reporting rationalisation and standardisation agenda across BT Finance, leveraging knowledge of reporting best practice and maximising the usage of reporting systems and tools

  • Design and deliver a reporting development roadmap that enhances the use of financial data and puts the right information in the hands of the right people at the right time

  • Influence senior stakeholders on adoption of the reporting roadmap and ability to successfully drive change across a wide group of stakeholders

  • Lead the SAC Reporting Development team in the design, development and support of standardised SAP and non-SAP reporting templates and dashboards that support strategic decision making

  • Be a vocal advocate for SAP reporting capability development and the value-add that can be achieved from an efficient and effective system-based SAP reporting approach

  • Partner with BT Group Technology to ensure appropriate support for new reporting template and dashboard development projects

  • Build a high-performing team culture focused on quality and pace of delivery and developing individual team members

The skills you'll need

  • Experience ofleading and growing an SAP reporting development or support function within a large organisation

  • A strong track record of delivering high quality SAP reporting templates and dashboards

  • A commercially astute SAP advocate, comfortable discussing the commercial impact and return on investment of developing best in class SAP reporting capabilities

  • Strong hands-on technical skills background (particularly SAC, AfO & BW)

  • Comfortable challenging the status quo and able to influence stakeholders to adopt change
