Key job responsibilities

We, the Prime Video Financial Services team, are looking for an outstanding Sr BIE (Business Intelligence Engineer) to help manage our ever growing information needs and support analysis of increasingly complex business questions within the video commerce space. You will be focused on building understanding and measurement of how our teams deliver value to customers and guide decisions around product direction.

You will seek out hidden and valuable correlations between the easily-measurable and the hard-to-quantify, within immense volumes of real-world data. You will formulate quantitative metrics which allow us to track our progress, devise creative measurement and audit solutions which allow us to track those metrics with minimal cost and human effort, and design, build, and maintain the data pipelines, datasets and visualisations which provide the foundation for your work. Your work will influence business, product, and technical direction, steering broader solutions in support of these objectives.

Basic Qualifications

  • Experience with theory and practice of design of experiments and statistical analysis of results

  • Experience in scripting for automation (e.g. Python) and advanced SQL skills.

  • Experience working directly with business stakeholders to translate between data and business needs

  • Experience with data visualization using Tableau, Quicksight, or similar tools

  • Experience in the data/BI space

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience managing, analyzing and communicating results to senior leadership

  • Experience with AWS technologies

  • Experience with theory and practice of information retrieval, data science, machine learning and data mining

  • Experience programming to extract, transform and clean large (multi-TB) data sets
