Responsibilities
Working closely with the client manager the incumbent will provide service support to Benefits and Health clients who are predominately mid- to large-size companies across Canada. This position directly supports the organization’s objective providing a superior level of service to our clients.
The Service Consultant will work both independently and with client managers (Producers/Account Managers) to provide service support for our clients. The position includes the many detailed and broad functions involved in servicing and supporting our mid-large clients.
Role Highlights:
develop and maintain close relationships with clients, carrier partners, internal client managers and analysts
have input and involvement in client service programs and development of metrics that support our client service model
peer review non-refund experience reports prepared by Gallagher Service Center and send to clients
prepare specialty renewals ( e. AD&D renewals )
complete requests for amendments, including updating client booklets, and pricing
plan design management including inquiries and booklet reviews
support on implementation of new groups and participate in implementation calls to monitor the process through a service lens
support analyst where needed on renewals ( e. gather reports, prepare admin policies, data entry on London renewal-demographics, claims breakdowns, top drugs )
support analyst where needed on marketings ( e. completion of employee census )
investigate complex inquiries that come in from clients that cannot be resolved by the carrier
input into drafting client materials including Benefits at a Glance and Employee/Client Presentations
maintain internal client management systems
participate in generating awareness for Benchmarking Survey and run Benchmarking Reports
understand and speak knowledgably about Gallagher Better Works
Plan Administrator Support & Training
Qualifications
Knowledge/Skills:
Group benefits experience gathered at an insurance company and/or consulting firm
Thorough, up-to-date knowledge of Canadian benefits industry
Group benefit courses preferred (GBA, CEBS, LLQP)
Excellent client service skills and relationship development
Strong planning and time management skills
Able to handle multiple priorities within a dynamic environment
Microsoft Office – Excel, Word and PowerPoint skills required

Customer focused and dedicated team player
Works effectively and positively with internal team as well as with carrier’s Service and Account Managers
